In Wales, I took part in the reconstruction of a house built in the late 19th century. I traveled a lot on sunny weekends, and on rainy weekends I used wooden OSB panels for acrylic painting, fortunately there were plenty of them at the construction site. I lived in an empty room in a house that was not at all suitable for living, with a door covered with burlap, bathed in a trough from under the cement mortar, pouring water on myself from a bucket shabby with rubble, scooping up water diluted from an electric kettle with a ladle.
I was glad that the construction in Nantyglo saved me from bad thoughts and experiences associated with the damned war, and that I had the opportunity to earn a little extra money, spending part of the money on replenishing the club's property ruined by the war. The purchased equipment is with friends in Kharkov and is waiting in the wings. Over time, I got paints, canvases and hope to continue replenishing the club's losses, earning money with less hard work, considering my age. But I don't know what kind of artist I am yet, and I'm a lousy art dealer. I got a place to live in Newport and the opportunity to cycle to Cardiff. I was accepted into the Barnabas art house family.
